SoNA announces concert postponements, considers reimagined fall performances for smaller audiences

The health and safety of SoNA audience members, musicians and staff being our top priorities, and in coordination with our venue partner Walton Arts Center, all performances with audiences of more than 200 people are being postponed until January 2021. This decision means that our first three concerts of the 2020-21 Season — Masterworks I: Mozart and Beethoven on October 17, A Very SoNA Christmas on December 12, and The Snowman: A Family Concert on December 13 — will not happen as originally planned.

Like all arts organizations across the nation, we are watching to see how the coronavirus continues to impact our area and how such might further impact our plans for the fall. We are using the summer months to consider new and innovative ways to bring you the music you love, possibly through reimagined fall performances for smaller audiences with appropriate safety measures in place. At this time, the Masterworks concerts on January 30, March 20, and May 1, 2021, are scheduled to take place as planned.

Those who have already purchased season subscriptions will be contacted directly by the box office with additional details and options as soon as scheduling and program changes are finalized.

We look forward to seeing you all again soon, and you'll be the first know as additional details are available.
