Walton Arts Center Atrium

Miho Oda-Sakon and Tomoko Kashiwagi, both originally from Japan, call Fayetteville, AR their home. Although they are not blood-related, Miho and Tomoko consider each other to be musical sisters and enjoy spending time together on and off the stage. Heartwarming Notes is a program of delightful music for violin and piano, including pieces by violin virtuoso F. Kreisler, female composer Cécile Chaminade and Arkansan composer William Grant Still, who is also known as the "Dean of African-American Composers." This heartwarming program presents a range of voices and styles, showcasing the vibrant possibilities of violin piano chamber music.
